We are getting ready to swing open the doors of the Castlerosse Park Resort on the 20th of March and we couldn't be more excited for everything we have to offer our guests in 2020.
Along with the celebration of our new brand the 'Castlerosse Park Resort' which is now just one year old, we are also basking in the newly appointed glow of our recent 4-star grading and other significant milestones such as our new Green Policy. The year ahead is looking bright and here's a little of what you can look forward to when staying with us in 2020....
March
March marks our opening month and we can't wait to get back into action and welcome all our guests back to the Resort. The pillows will be fluffed, the eggs will be sunny side up and you can be guaranteed the classic Castlerosse treatment at every corner.
To celebrate our opening month, we have a very special offer which includes arrival on the 27th or 28th of March for two nights at €120 per person sharing, along with a dinner in our stunning Grosvenor Restaurant.
So, whether it's a special occasion or just a quick break away, remember you'll have everything your heart desires here at the Castlerosse Park Resort.
April
April heralds the month of Spring and of course the arrival of the all-important Easter Bunny and we have plenty of ideas on how you can entertain your own little bunnies at the Resort this Easter Holiday.
Prices start from €525.00 for three nights dinner and b&b for two adults and two children and we have a range of accommodation options available from our Woodland Cottages and Park Lodges to our Family Hotel Rooms.
Kick-start your break away with a cycle through the Park with bike rental direct from the Hotel, splash out in our Leisure Club with Kid’s Pool or take some time for yourself at our Renew Beauty & Hair Salon.
Let our Kids Club, the CastleRangers take care of your little ones with an array of fun-filled activities including; daily outdoor games, arts and crafts, an Easter Egg Hunt and much, much more.
May
Summer is our absolute favourite time of year at the Castlerosse Park Resort as its the season that our home of the Killarney National Park really comes alive.
Along with the awakening of the various parkland flora and fauna, we are anticipating that our brand new Herb Garden, as part of our Green Policy, will be in full bloom. Guests will be invited to pick some of their favourite herbs for dinner in the evening and we will be looking to incorporate as much fresh ingredients as possible into our menus at both the Grosvenor Restaurant as well as Mulligans Bar. Here's hoping for some fresh al fresco dining on our Terrace too!
June
June is a wonderous month and the perfect time to visit the Castlerosse Park Resort and its natural location on the edge of the Killarney National Park.
With the season in full swing, there is no better time to enjoy the many walks and trails around the Park and further afield. Take a short stroll into nearby Killarney Town and take in some of the park’s picturesque scenery or if you are in the mood for a day-long walking adventure, leave the resort on foot and explore the Park’s meadowland while making your way to Ross Castle to tour the grounds of its 15th Century Keep.
While you are there, have a ramble around Ross Island and its many areas of interest including the beautiful Blue Pool, the hidden forest walks of Library Point and the panoramic views that await you at Grosvenor Rock.
There are endless varieties of other trails and routes available depending on your fitness level and taste for adventure so dust off those walking boots and get booking your stay this June.
July
July marks one of the busiest months here in the Castlerosse Park Resort as well as our home of Killarney.
The busy calendar month kicks off with what has become one of the town's biggest events, the 4th of July Festival, a celebration of all things American. Enjoy a parade filled with music and dancing, sample some good old fashioned American style food and watch the sunset over Killarney House as you settle down to watch a movie in the open-air and oh, did we mention there will be fireworks?!
Other events taking place in July include the famous Killarney Racing Festival with all the glitz and glamour of Ladies Day as well as the Ring of Kerry Cycle in which participants cycle the length and breadth of the Ring of Kerry for their chosen charity.
August
Traditionally the most popular holiday month of all, there is no better time to explore the beauty of the Killarney National Park and from the very doorstep of the Resort.
Rent a bike from Reception and cycle through the Demense area of the Park and on to Ross Castle where you can experience the beauty of the Lakes of Killarney with a boat ride across the glistening waters or take your very own row boat out to Innisfallen Island, home to the ruins of an ancient 11th century monastery and spend an afternoon exploring its quaint scenery.
The possibilities are simply limitless so make hay while the sun shines....
September
As the leaves slowly start to turn all shades of Autumn and the Park begins to relax into a new season, it’s time for us to welcome back our Golden Breaks to the Resort with a variety of packages and dates to choose from.
Created especially for the over 55’s, these packages include dinner and b&b as well as a variety of activities such as a half-day sightseeing tour to Dingle, a guided walk of the Park, garden talks, aqua aerobics and of course, music and dancing at Mulligans Bar.
One thing is for certain, there will be plenty of memories made this September at the Castlerosse Park Resort.
October
October is another fantastic time for families to visit the Resort for the final time this year and enjoy the Halloween Holiday.
With Resort facilities such as the Children's Playground, Tennis and Basketball Courts and our 20m Swimming Pool, there are numerous activites for the kids to choose from.
Let the CastleRangers entertain the troops with all things slimy and spooky while you find some time to relax at our Health and Leisure Club or treat yourself to a massage at our Renew Beauty Rooms.
Outside the Resort, there is no better time to enjoy Killarney and its array of family friendly activities. Why not spend a rainy day at Killarney Cinema, go back in time at Muckross Traditional Farms, or enjoy some family bonding at Killarney Escape Rooms.
November
November marks the end of what we hope will be another fantastic season here at the Castlerosse Park Resort but as the Resort’s Hotel prepares to close, our other Park accommodation options like the Woodland Cottages and Lodges are ready and waiting for those that wish to explore the beauty of the Park and Killarney in the off-season.
The hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan Killarney is replaced with a more relaxed and tranquil atmosphere and the parkland itself, which is typically a hive of activity in the Summer months, is transformed into an oasis of calm.
This is the perfect month to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Park, retreat into the solitude of its many woodland walks and warm up by the fire in your cosy Park accommodation.
December
Year on year, we have seen more and more travellers flock to Killarney in the month of December, mostly thanks to the growth and influence of the Christmas in Killarney Festival.
With ‘Dine In Killarney’ offering meals in the most sought after Restaurants in town for a fraction of the usual price, festive Sleigh Rides through the Park to take in the beauty of the snow-capped mountains of the MacGillycuddy Reeks as well as a custom built Ice-Rink and much more, it’s no wonder that people are choosing Killarney to experience the magic of the most wonderful time of the year.
