The 3-day package, with breakfast and evening meals included, is specifically designed to provide the perfect balance between rest and relaxation and a variety of more active excursions, all combined to create a truly memorable experience.
Arrive to a complimentary welcome drink in the charming atmosphere of Mulligans Pub on your first evening and catch up with old friends or make new acquaintances as you overlook the breath-taking views of our 9 Hole Golf Course and of course the magnificent mountains of the MacGuillicudy Reeks.
Start your first day the right way with a full Irish breakfast in the panoramic Grosvenor Restaurant before meeting Moya, your very own dedicated hospitality guru and locality expert who is on hand each morning to give you all the tips and hints you need to make sure your trip is an enjoyable one.
Operating this package for over 20 years has allowed Moya and our crew to handpick the most popular activities for your stay, including our beloved Boat Trip, where you will experience first- hand the remarkable beauty of the Lakes of Killarney. Commence your trip with a short drive to Ross Castle where the boat departs and take some time to discover the majestic grounds of the 15th Century Castle, set amidst the backdrop of the stunning Lakes of Killarney, before boarding your Waterbus bound for adventure.
Take in the tranquillity of the lakeland as you glide across Lough Leane, the largest of the three lakes, and learn about heritage attractions such as the O’Sullivan Cascade and the monastic ruins of nearby Innisfallen Island. Return to dry land and the next stop is bustling Killarney Town Centre where you are free to explore its array of popular shopping destinations including the Killarney Outlet Store. For those that wish to continue their scenic journey, be transported to Aghadoe, an area renowned for its extraordinary views of Killarney’s Lakes and Islands as well as the ruins of a 13th Century Castle and a Romanesque Church before returning to your humble abode.
With the famous Lakes of Killarney ticked off your bucket list, enjoy a few more relaxed activities closer to home in the comfort of the Castlerosse Resort. Aqua Aerobics is one of our best loved activities and our instructors are ready and waiting to whip you into shape in a fun and relaxed class environment, suitable for all fitness levels. Or if gardening is your passion, why not join our green fingers brigade and partake in one of our Garden Talks. Meet our local Gardener, who will be quite literally dishing the dirt on all the tips of the trade including how to grow your own fruit and veg from scratch - now that’s a golden goal to aspire to!
If the great outdoors is still beckoning, then join in our Guided Walk Tour around the National Park, right on your doorstep, and learn about the unique flora and fauna of the area. Who knows, you may even meet some of the locals on your trip (in the form of the Red Deer, which are native to the parkland of Killarney) - don’t forget to take your camera!
And if you have any energy left after all that then live it up with our array of nightly entertainment including craic agus ceol galore in Mulligans Pub, live music and dancing and our table quiz, a firm favourite with both regulars and newcomers alike.
